Trellis (The Scottish Therapeutic Gardening Network)

Trellis is the national Scottish charity that supports, promotes and develops the use of horticulture to improve health, well-being and life opportunities for all. Trellis represents over 170 projects across Scotland that use gardening and associated activities to improve the physical, social and emotional health of individuals and communities. These projects play a significant role in improving health outcomes for all sectors of society but face challenges from isolation, a lack of recognition and uncertainty of funding.

Herefordshire Horticultural Hub

The Hub was formed in 2012 in order to promote and link the exceptional businesses and skills found in and around the region.


Perennial provides free and confidential advice, support and financial assistance to people of all ages working in, or retired from horticulture. This help extends to spouses, partners and children.

Growing Together
This programme of research explores the use and benefits of 'social and therapeutic horticulture' (organised gardening and horticulture activities). It is part of the CCFR's 'Family, Community and Environment' strand of research.

Growing Local

Growing Local is a community interest company, based in Hereford, that offers educational, land-based courses for children and adults.  The venture aims to develop links between local growers and the community.

HVOSS (Herefordshire Voluntary Organisations Support Services)

HVOSS provides information, guidance and support to voluntary community organisations and groups in Herefordshire. It offers a range of support services to ensure that charities, community groups, village hall committees, sports and leisure clubs and social enterprises can thrive and continue to make a huge contribution to life in the county.

Herefordshire Mind

Herefordshire Mind is a registered local charity, affiliated to national Mind, providing support and services to people affected by mental distress, living in Herefordshire.

Mind has created a directory is to signpost individuals, organisations and professionals to services, advice and opportunities that are available across Herefordshire and beyond and Growing Point are included in this directory.

Family Drug Support offers support to families affected by a loved one's drug or alcohol misuse.
